Since Grangemouth doesn't refine North Sea Oil, because it's piped directly into English refineries, Scots have to run our cars on imported oil. So we have our own oil stolen & refined for English drivers, whilst we're forced to depend on imports. #scotlandisacolony
This post attracted 27,000+ interactions, mostly supportive. Just shows how uninformed Scottish voters are, due to the algorithm exploitation of the mob-handed UK troll community. With the media dominated by UK numbers, not Scots numbers, we are left outnumbered & ignorant.
There is no such thing as Scottish oil. The oil belongs to the oil companies. Where they transport it to is not within the control of any government really. Here is the problem: I am an independence supporter, but I think we need to be honest about things like this. A lot of people assume "we" own the oil, we don't.
@PartickDriver Can’t really see this tweet, Gordon. It’s all kind of crackly, almost like there’s some sort of inference on the line?
@PartickDriver Really Gordon, look at the pattern. Can't make wind turbines at Nigg but apparently you can in Teeside. Can't have data centers in the north of Scotland but the north of England is fine. Steel making now no longer in Wales as well as Scotland but plenty in England. I could go on
@PartickDriver First and foremost, it's not OUR Oil. It belongs to whoever gets it out of the ground and pipes it ashore Second ,it is NOT stolen as it's sold by whoever gets it out of the ground and pipes it ashore Third, it's NOT the SNP's oil or any government's oil. it's the oil companies.
