Look, politics aside, surely we can all agree that as a country, we NEED this? We need the image of Count Binface in Parliament. We need the absurdity of him interacting with the Prime Minister with total legitimacy. We absolutely need the future GCSE history lessons about how a bin became an actual MP. This stuff is quintessential Britishness. It is Boaty McBoatface on crack. Forget your flags on lamp posts and roundabouts, THIS would be the single greatest expression of British national identity EVER conceived. It is an even purer expression of British humour than Blackadder and Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses combined. It would unite us in national amusement and pride like nothing before.
