No puedo estar más en desacuerdo. Ser buen PROFESOR UNIVERSITARIO implica e incluye ser buen docente Y buen investigador. La universidad no es solo una academia. La investigación es la herramienta para dotar a los estudiantes de espíritu crítico, capacidad de análisis, resiliencia ante las dificultades, imaginación, búsqueda de conocimiento e innovación… y muchas más capacidades que necesitamos en la sociedad. Puedo estar de acuerdo en que hay buenos investigadores que no son buenos profesores, pero no considero buenos profesores universitarios a quienes por muy bien que se expliquen, y muy bien que comuniquen, no están en disposición de proyectar y compartir sus conocimientos con ese brillo adicional que solo el entusiasmo investigador puede proporcionar. En estos tiempos, hay muy buenos materiales docentes a los que los estudiantes pueden acceder sin tener que ir a clase. Ir a la universidad tiene que aportarles el plus de ponerles en la estela de quienes pueden llevarles por un camino que cambiará su vida. Y de paso la de todos, no os olvidéis. Es nuestro futuro lo que vamos a poner en manos de nuestros jóvenes.
Ser doctor no implica ser mejor docente. Implica ser mejor investigador. Hay doctores muy buenos dando clase pero el doctorado valora SOLO la investigación. Quizás deberíamos plantear un doble perfil de profesorado universitario.
