#Bitcoin Ordinals, Inscriptions, and Bitcoin Spam
Hi Matthew, I’m a fan and had learned from you that bitcoin is adaptable enough to change and protect itself from attacks like quantum computers but now watching bitcoin be defenceless to a spam attack because users can’t come to consensus does a decentralized system work when there is no one at the top to make the hard but obvious decisions? human greed has been a large factor of bitcoins adoption and now I worry it might be a large factor in its decline as well
@CryptoTea_ Bitcoin's main defense against spam attacks is flexible transaction fees, that can ratchet up if needed. But there is also a social immunological layer that needs to be used to call out bad actors like Shitcoin Magazine. None of this will kill Bitcoin, but it's annoying
@mattkratter @CryptoTea_ Matt, love ya man, but you have to come back to the boot camp. Fee market is not the anti spam mechanism. Filters are. That false take is exactly what's making it harder and why spammers like it.
@maciejsoltysiak @mattkratter @CryptoTea_ If that were how it worked then bitcoin would already be captured.
