No public restrooms, water fountains, benches, picnic tables, and certainly not rail. And the billionaires and property owners want to keep it that way: privatized, exclusive, not for the people who already lived here or could afford to if we planned it that way.
Make no mistake. The forces against BL rail are the same ones that gave us Cop City. And the only Atlanta they're protecting is theirs.

Actually, this is fine.
When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

Riding a bike feels like being a kid again, every single time. Recommendation for anyone who hasn’t gone in a while… just take a lap up & down the street to start. Ask a friend if you can use theirs for 5 mins if you don’t have one. The endorphins are worth it.

@JemariTheGreat It’s not for everyone- though does suggest we need more space for others to *be* regardless of there are 5 or 500 people nearby! Space to unwind and not be worried about… whatever worries they may have or otherwise imposed upon them.
please get a library card even if you won’t use it because cities will look at library statistics and use that to decide to keep libraries open and properly funded
@HowEPhil I road from Midtown High School to Summerhill last night via Juniper St and Peachtree Center because the Beltline on a Friday night is absurd. I had a delightful experience riding Juniper and PCA. Would highly recommend over the Beltline!
I don’t think local elected leaders & decision makers realize just how many locals actually *avoid* the BeltLine because of how busy it is and how they cannot reliably ride a bike on it when it gets busy. Locals *want* a more reliable way to move along it. Trams deliver freedom.
