The PlayStation 5 Pro Is IRRELEVANT youtu.be/eg0yO0WinzU
@OhNoItsAlexx Lets see, the card you are using there RX 6700 is RDNA2 card and generation and half behind the pro 10gigs of memory Memory bandwidth with 320 vs 576 36CUs vs 60 on ps5 pro Clock speeds about the same RT on this is RDNA2 while ps5 pro RDNA4 Good luck with that
@OhNoItsAlexx You’re right in saying there’s better hardware out. But every console generation there’s always been better hardware out that never changes. The thing you’re overlooking is the average person in the market for a console just want a console and ain’t really interested in a PC.
Weird video, as we don't have a price on the PS5 Pro yet, yet you imply you can build an equivalent performance PC in that "range of pricing". The GPU equivalent of the PS5 Pro is looking close to an RX 7700 XT, which alone is £400-£500. As a general rule, consoles (esp at or near a new launch) have lower mark-up, and are occasionally even sold at a loss. Conversely, the opposite is often true for PC components and of GPU's. So it's difficult to imagine one would be able to build a comparable rig for the same up-front cost, unless Sony gets especially greedy with PS5 Pro pricing, which is a possibility. If you're meaning with long term online costs included, that muddies, as not all will need constant online play, F2P games which are among the most popular, don't require PS+, there's the additional draw in terms of added monthly titles, plus folk like me who stacked years worth on the cheap. Your video also omits the fact that most new tentpole SP PS5 exclusives take ~2 years to release on PC (HFW, Miles Morales, Returnal, Rift Apart and Sackboy all took 2 years), and there are a couple that haven't released at all (GT7 and Demon's Souls). Thus far, only live service titles are looking to be day date. Many don't want to wait around for that sort of time, hence coupled with convenience, form factor, UI, ease of use etc, some opt for consoles, including mid gen bumps that offer better visuals/performance, whilst retaining said console aspects.
@OhNoItsAlexx Can’t wait to play this on ps5 pro when it drops price after Xbox PC handheld releases 😂👇
@OhNoItsAlexx If the PS5 is gonna be 600 bucks, no thanks. I'd be better off buying an AMD 7900 GRE or an RTX 4070 Super.
