Don’t claim to be a leader or an “alpha” who values freedom and independence if you base 100% of your opinions and decisions around what other people will think of you. That means you have no freedom. You are not independent, you are caged, weak, and willfully ignorant.
True leadership isn't about being a puppet to public opinion. It's about having the courage to stand firm in once convictions, even if it means standing alone. Embracing independence means breaking free from the chains of external validation and charting your own course, regardless of the opinions of others. 🤝
This is what my dad taught me a leader was: 1. Doing what is right, regardless of what anyone thinks, or the consequences 2. Crazy ideas are not always crazy, that’s where brilliance lives 3. Honor. The truth always sets you free, and saves you a lot of fucking trouble 4. Being powerful means that you can be ferocious, but choose to be gentle 5. Courage doesn’t always look tough 6. Heart and mind are in balance 7. Forcing or dictating is not leadership
