You need to be eating more off cuts. Chuck, rump, shank, round Tougher cuts have more connective tissue. More connective tissue = more collagen We’re all lacking collagen in our diets (I aim for 30% of daily protein intake to be collagen) You can buy them for pennies on the dollar, drop in a slow cooker, and have the most nutrient dense meal in a matter of hours Ribeyes are great, but off-cuts are where the real nutrition is.
@NoahRyanCo Or source and eat a proper 80/20 blend of ground sirloin.
@NoahRyanCo Gnaw bones, eat the ends off chicken bones, crunch up and eat gristly ribs, eat the cartilage off bones too. Some bones become soft enough to chew up and eat when cooked properly too. Then you've got stuff like tripe. Full of collagen.
@NoahRyanCo Collagen gets broken down into individual amino acids (19 of which in this case) how is it different from just eating an adequate amount of amino acid from other protein sources? Your body uses amino acids to resynthesize collagen, not collagen itself.
