Small personal update: after 4+ wonderful years at Cambridge, and a big detour working for the UK government, I'm beyond excited to share that I've joined the amazing team at @boltz_bio as a Member of Technical Staff, where I'll keep working at the intersection of AI + bio (1/5)

@oscargaske I have a permanent /goal agent in the background. I then have my main research project which takes more effort, but I'm still able to set off ~10 hour agents. Then when that's running I'll work in a third thread. Honestly I could do with substantially more tokens.

@dagarfield @AnthropicAI The most basic SMILES to IUPAC question in ChemIQ was rejected. Given current safeguards I don’t think I’d be able to use Fable for anything meaningful. Tokens would also be a massive help! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

@simpsoka My friction is writing good goals. In the image I'm optimising the blue line. /goal gives steady improvement, but each step change came from steering prompts "take a step back and aim for +5pp improvement". For some reason I can't get /goal to do this by itself.
@thsottiaux I have a permanent goal in the background whilst I work on other tasks. I find codex struggles to make good goal prompts. Progress frequently stagnates and I have to steer to get momentum going again.
