@MyNintendoNews @OrlandoVelez40 Oh yeah, I've seen 2027 thrown around as a release but that seems pretty optimistic? Stellar Blade released in just April 2024. I would think a spring/summer 2028 date - 4-years of dev time - seems more likely. And even that would be a quick turnaround!

@OrlandoVelez40 @MyNintendoNews Partly this, partly tech, and def not Day 1 on Switch 2 like some other titles. Stellar Blade is Unreal Engine 4, which started during PS4, so I’m guessing it wasn’t that hard to port over. Blood Rain is UE5 though, so it might be harder depending on how hard they push it.

@RealityPales So, after the show in a post interview, Matt Booty said that any games with a live service/multiplayer focus will be on all platforms still going forward. That explains State of Decay 3 still coming to PS5. That’s sorta Sony’s policy as well.

@MyNintendoNews They later clarified to Kotaku that all background assets are genAI created and then looked over by someone else. Ugh. I was so hyped with that trailer too. I’m really hoping they will reconsider and let actual artists create the background assets before release.

@therealcliffyb The combat and world building is really great. The whole game is amazing I think. I remember the “soulslike” description being thrown around, but it’s def not that. Closer to Ninja Gaiden in action feeling and traversal. And the soundtrack is the best part!

@Snegglepuss85 @LokiJarson @StellarBlade Weird how I keep seeing people talk about a time skip. My first thought is this game takes place ON Mothers Sphere, and that’s just one of many cities on it. And it takes place relatively close after the true ending of Stellar Blade 1.
