I am a person who’s always been driven by the question “Why?” I see something & need to understand what caused a situation. I can't act without understanding the "whys", as I use them to build my plan of how to act & engage moving forward. #AskingAutistics - anyone relate?
@NeuroRebel Why is still my favorite question to this day. For the reason you state but also it challenges the target to think. Too many people just parrot things without digging deeper.
@NeuroRebel Yes, definitely. It drives me mad when people are incapable of explaining the motivation behind something!
@NeuroRebel Relate completely. If I don't know "why", I cannot move forward. At all. To the consternation of all around me since forever.
@NeuroRebel Yes I like/need to understand/know why
@NeuroRebel @autstrich I am very much the same, and, extremely analytical.
@NeuroRebel Yes! I used to drive my dad crazy with asking why to everything. If something doesn't make sense, I'm not doing it.
@NeuroRebel Yes, my dad even remarked the other say that it's "still my favorite question." As a kid I pestered them with "why"s constantly...and still do bc I *need* to understand, especially if someone wants me to do something. It's like I can't process it without knowing WHY.
@NeuroRebel Oh yes, 100%. That’s why I get my label of “awkward”. Particularly at work. The funny thing is once I know the “why” I’m fine, even if I don’t agree with what’s being asked of me (if it makes sense)
