A Muslim Urdu teacher was slapped by a BJP leader in Telangana for teaching Urdu to students, despite Urdu being an officially recognized second language in the state. The incident took place in the presence of Telangana Police. Instead of taking immediate action against the alleged assailant, the police later detained the teacher.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has gone full fascist mode. Yesterday he announced that CAA is being slammed fully in West Bengal starting NOW. Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, refugees get fast-track citizenship... but Muslims? Straight to jail, handed over to Border Security Force and deported as "Bangladeshi infiltrators." This is not CAA. This is state-sponsored ethnic cleansing and religious apartheid in the name of law. They want to brand every Muslim in Bengal as an intruder while rolling out red carpet for others. Bengal's Muslims built this state, fought for it, and we are its blood and soul, not outsiders.
