Clax proved last year he’s pretty much a Top 10 Defense by Himself. When he was on the floor the Nets were one of the best defenses in the league despite Kyrie/Seth/Patty playing big minutes at different points of the season so yeah the Nets can play 1 bad defender and be fine

Herro’s not a good individual defender and I get narratives are fun, but the Heat have finished Top 10 in Def Rating every year of his career despite his shortcomings and he played significant minutes each year. Can’t Mikal/DFS/Clax make up for 1 mediocre defender who is 6’5?

The Nets holding onto KD and accepting the Suns offer of Mikal Bridges Cam Johnson 4 Unprotected Firsts 2 Second Rounders (With a 18.1 Mil TPE) Ended up being a lot better than the Jaylen Brown Derrick White 1 Unprotected First Package that they declined from BOS last Summer

I for sure don’t want a Center that can’t punish a switch, stay on the court late in games because of Free Throws in favor of a guy who has already been the 2nd best player on a Championship team but what do I know
Clax can’t get extended until he’s a Free Agent because of league rules and there has to be risk in letting an unrestricted Free Agent test the market. Siakam on the other hand is extension eligible prior to Free Agency. These things have to matter

@NetsManUp_ He at least had some good games with KD tho even if it was because KD covered his ass up (Bucks and Cavs were solid). Since Kd left he’s been a complete and utter tire fire with not a single good game.
