Guest article on the research evidence for LETRS. teachingbyscience.com/letrs
@NateJoseph19 Dr. Staci Bain implimented LETRS training in Peshatin-Dryden Elem, & then within Wenatchee SD. Training AND then adequately embedding LETRS knowledge within instruction is necessary. m.youtube.com/watch?v=fSo5QN… #SOR #FAPE #TrainingMatters #LiteracyMatters #CurriculumMatters
@NateJoseph19 This is so interesting. I have just completed my LETRS training. I do agree that teachers need programs in order to enact what is learnt through LETRS, especially if they are required to do it and perhaps aren’t as motivated to learn if it is a requirement?
@NateJoseph19 You’re really going after the sacred cows, aren’t you? And yet, evidence is evidence.
@NateJoseph19 Thanks for sharing. I view LETRS as the content knowledge needed for early reading. But we know content knowledge is necessary but not sufficient for effective instruction. Teachers need programs, materials too
@NateJoseph19 @jesskohlhase This is a bit disheartening especially if we don’t follow up with any programming.
