@transitmap @NYPLMaps That makes sense. The proposed H&M lines to Grand Central, and across 9th St to Astor Place, weren't entirely called off until sometime in the 1910s, but I'm not sure the date.
@SubwayTidbits @NYPLMaps The actual page the map is from gives it a more general date of 1910–1919, so sounds like they haven't fully researched it.
@NYPLMaps @transitmap That 1919 date is probably incorrect, as the IRT lines down 7th and up Lexington from 42nd, opened in 1918, are not shown. Also, I think the planned H&M/#PATH line up 6th and to Grand Central was dead by 1919. Approval was obtained in 1909, but the H&M could never finance it.
