A few stats after running today's PIT climate data: 🌧️4/11's 2.77" of rain shattered the old daily record of 1.46" (1933) 🌧️4/11 was the 25th wettest day on record (records back to 1871) 🌧️Month-to-date, PIT is now 6.11" above normal (cont.)
🌧️This is already the 3rd wettest April on record (and likely the 1st by the end) 🌧️This is the wettest 1st 11 days for any month on record 🌧️This is the only time the 1st and 2nd greatest daily rainfall for a month have occurred in the same year (4/2 & 4/11)
@NWSPittsburgh I miss the snow Pittsburgh used to get. Now with a rapidly warming planet we see so much more rain. It stinks. I literally can't remember the last time I saw kids sled riding in the winter, must have been 2010. When we grew up in the 80's us kids were sledding all the time.
@NWSPittsburgh How does this compare to last week's rain?
