JUST IN: A Minnesota judge sentenced Derek Chauvin to 22 1/2 years in prison for the murder of George Floyd — a punishment that exceeds the state's minimum guidelines but falls short of prosecutors' request of a 30-year sentence. trib.al/l3aCUpG
@NPR The real Derek is on a beach somewhere sipping a beer and having a little tug. SMFH
@NPR With this sentence push for meaningful Police reform, its not likely going to happen in this Century but start the process.
@NPR Good that’s a year for every year he was a cop and I hope he won’t be eligible for an early release
@NPR I honestly think he's not going to survive . He's not going to be very popular.
@NPR He did do multiple crimes at once and he was charged with second degree unintentional murder,so where is the severe charge🤔 it’s supposed to be 40 years by law they said it can be 24 years so how did the judge think 22.5 years with time served didn’t say without probation
@NPR Was justice at all , it’s unbelievable how the justices system works, I don’t get what the judge was thinking, it’s like he said you didn’t deserve to be in jail so I will give you time served, don’t worry you won’t be in long because I didn’t stipulate without probation REALLY!!
