Talk to a lot of coaches daily… it’s STRAIGHT UP pay for play…. Name, Image,Likeness has very little to do with 90% of these deals being done. Can you hoop? And how much will it cost to get you ?

@NEO_Spotlight Kids and parents overreact to one weekend and don’t understand how team hopping negatively affects their recruitment. A lot of coaches, including myself, are not interested in team hoppers.

It’s very reasonable to ask for a list of coaches who will be in attendance, and I wish more parents/coaches would do this before spending their money on these camps. Vast majority of them are cash grabs that are hosted by companies that have very few relationships with coaches.

I really wish Twitter scouts would retire the term “three-level scorer”. I know it sounds good but the guys who project as legitimate, three-level scorers at the collegiate level are typically pros…

The game of basketball lost a truly great ambassador for its game today.
Some days, we go into work and have bad days and don't perform like we know we can And sometimes, kids hoop and have bad days We shouldn't put crazy emphasis in every single showing of a player Never know what a kid may be carrying or battling. Bad days happen to us all
Me personally 9 is the max 8 gets tricky if you have a injury or a player not show for whatever reason
I’ve obviously never coached AAU but it baffles me to see some rosters with 10+ players on a single team, especially 17U. The sweet spot in my mind has always been 9 with the last guy knowing that he’s the last guy. What’s everyone else’s thoughts on this?
Egos, entitlement, and delusion are at an all-time high within the college basketball landscape right now. The recruiting stories get crazier every day. Players- Make sure you’re getting the right type of guidance from the right type of people.

@NEO_Spotlight The opposite issue I have is I carry 7 and 3 accept but later tell me they have track, volleyball or a graduation on 3/7 tourney weekends.

@NEO_Spotlight I was talking to my other coach about it this past weekend. We seen some teams with 12-13 kids, every kid can't get reasonable playing time in 28-32 minutes. Waste of $$ and time
800 OH high schools play hoops so roughly 8000 kids playing. If 40% are seniors...do the math folks.
