We need to put a moratorium on destructive private school vouchers until North Carolina’s public schools are fully funded.
The more parents learn about this irresponsible voucher plan, the more they’re concerned for the risks it poses to their children, our communities and our state. Learn more here: governor.nc.gov/strong-schools…
The US spends far more per student than places like Japan or Germany, which have adult literacy rates of 99% while the US is at 79% and dropping fast. US public schools are absolutely worthless in many places. Taxpayers deserve alternatives with those kinds of pathetic outcomes.
@NC_Governor The Public School system is a decades long failure and the more money Democrats have pumped into them as being the solution the more exponentially the schools have degraded. Considering the vast majority of funds are paying leftists “Administrative” salaries, it’s no surprise.
@NC_Governor Agreed. Public money has no place in private schools, least of all if they're going to talk "personal freedom" and "small government". That pilfering of public schools to support for-profit private schools is only one reason Michele Morrow would be so bad for NC.
@NC_Governor To clarify, until we bankrupt the system with forced education we can't talk about actual education
@NC_Governor No, we don’t… the term “fully funded” is, I’m sure, at your discretion… what does it mean??? Public schools will be “fully funded” once North Carolinians are completely broke???
@NC_Governor Public schools will always be a tax grab. You’ve had 5-6 decades to figure out how to run public schools and each time you get more they get worse. Private school vouchers need MORE support until public schools figure it out.
@NC_Governor that's not what the taxpaying parents want, Ray...
@NC_Governor Yet your daughter went to private school. Why do you get a choice and you don’t want others to have one?
@NC_Governor Have you not noticed that public schools are never fully funded because the more you fund, the more they want? We should end the government schools/unions monopoly and privatize K-12 schools. Better education for our kids at a lower cost.
