Not even a little flukey. Fight was hyper-competitive throughout, and Gaethje had nearly landed that exact high kick twice previously. Insane to me that the cope surrounding this result still persists to this day.

@AmberWamber69 Bendo 1 was a good performance from both I think. It's a fairly clear 4-1 Chandler, but Bendo comes in with smart ideas.
Chandler's been post-prime his entire UFC run, but when he first got here, he still had the durability and wherewithal to take broadly sharp approaches to everyone he fought. Was still elite up until the Poirier fight, I'd say.

@AmberWamber69 I think 2011-13 is his athletic peak, certainly. Genuinely a Romero tier athlete. But 2016 is by far the most coherent he ever was technically, while retaining most of his physicality. Happy medium, I'd say.
