You can be a really good teacher and have strong behaviour management but still be struggling with behaviour in your class, don’t be too proud to ask for help.
@Mr_Keyte Yes it often only takes 1 child to alter the positive tone of the class.
@Mr_Keyte It really helps if the school you work in knows and understands this. Not all do, sadly.
@Mr_Keyte Yeah. Those universal supports are great and work for most students, but there are always going to be a few that need a little extra. The universal supports make it possible for teachers to be able to provide extra support for the few outliers...
@Mr_Keyte How can poor behaviour be dealt with when the managements behaviour is worst than the students. Poor leadership weak people. If you discipline the students you show the headteacher and SLT up You should have their jobsNo place these days in doing the job well
@Mr_Keyte Some problems are bigger than we are and require higher levels of support. That's simply reality.
@Mr_Keyte Unless you work in a toxic school where it is always turned around on you
@Mr_Keyte I am and I did this week and it worked. And I'm so much happier.
@Mr_Keyte I actually needed to read this right now. Thanks David.
@Mr_Keyte Yes absolutely. The nuance and complexity of the challenges faced by teachers now are such that all teacherswill struggle to some extent and at various times. Without mutual support and continuous dialogue and training it will get worse as society fractures still further
@Mr_Keyte Cue the “relationships and entertaining curriculum” will reverse the complete lack of empathy & enjoyment of destructive behaviors.
