Beaumer credited his improvement mostly to taking 4 chill weeks on the bike when he returned to riding. Spent that time on turn tracks focusing on foot placement and honing his technique/foundation.
Beaumer and KTM still taking it race by race and trying not to get distracted by the championship. Pretty incredible that’s in the fight and so improved from last year despite the horrible back injury.
Jett pretty passive about winning the championship or not. Lars mentioned he probably would be happy for his brother (if Hunter won), so not much competition between the too yet. Pretty amazing seeing two brothers leading points and gapping the field.
Decided not to do surgery because they would have to remove the plate and 6 drills, which would have left the bone too brittle. Instead, 4-6 weeks healing and he’ll be good to go again. Sucks, but he will be back for SMX
Shimoda update from Lars: they were hopeful that he was going to be able to race; images came back clean for the collarbone. Jo rode Wednesday but didn’t feel right so they got another consultation and discovered a fracture under a previous plate.
Jett seems okay after that crash. Just got the handlebar stuck in his boot I think.
Fineis was working his way up but then pulled off. Not sure why. Hopefully he’s okay
Tomac’s ride this year quite similar to last year here. Got passed by Bloss and Tøndel near the end. However, this year he’s nursing himself back from injury. Nice to have him back.
Hunter extends his lead. Didn’t quite have the pace of Jett in Moto 2 but it didn’t matter.
Such a strange way the bike comes back and hits him. Glad to see him back up! But this will be a decent loss of points.

That Hymas ride came out of nowhere, especially after the first moto “fade”. Awesome to see him back on the top step of the podium!
