The Federal Railroad Administration is conducting a study to evaluate restoring daily, long-distance, intercity train service. Their initial proposal would add 15 long-distance routes, serving 61 additional metropolitan areas and creating a true national network.

@MorePerfectUS @railroadworkers We desperately need to restore city to city travel! The difference it would make just to have a normal 2x a day commuter line restored out here in S. Appalachia would be huge!
@MorePerfectUS @railroadworkers I just did a long distance move last year I shipped my belongings with a u-haul pod with the intention of riding a train across the country Airplane ended up being significantly cheaper If the train I wanted to take had a way to bring my motorcycle, I woulda have taken one tho
