If you are a Jew, and you are struggling to understand your Jewish life without the state of Israel as a key component, but want to talk in good faith about how to be Jewish without Zionism? I am here to talk. We can not, implicitly or explicitly, support this cruelty and horror
I spent years of my life in study. I wanted to be a rabbi. For reasons intimate and political, it didn’t happen. But the process, involving 3 years in the Galilee and Jerusalem & courses in Israeli history & Zionist thought left me very clear on this: Zionism is an abomination
@MordecaiPMartin “Psychiatric survivor and mad man” is very fitting for someone that believes destroying a terror group and attempting to rescue hostages is cruel.
@MordecaiPMartin Hey @realrabbilinda , is this your son?
My good friend is Jewish, he has struggled within his own community as he is unvaccinated. We often have talks discussing religion. I truly do not believe Judaism is monolithic - you can have evil people who are Jews, but no one is evil just because they are Jewish. Christianity would not exist without Judaism, some people would argue nor would Islam. My Jewish friend believes in integrity; without proven integrity, no leadership can resist corruption. Without communication leads to wars. I want peace for all in Israel, and Gaza. I pray every day for all.
@MordecaiPMartin You live in New York. Wanna talk about Jewish life without Zionism to Yemeni Jews? Or Soviet ones? Ethiopian? They probably aren't super kin to talk, though. After all, Zionism is the only reason they are alive and not discriminated against every second of their lives anymore
@MordecaiPMartin That gets a follow. This actually made me tear up. I had to go outside to get some air. I love you brother. Your heart is in the right place.
@MordecaiPMartin @tzedekcollectiv Why do you have Hebrew in your bio?? Do you know Hebrew derived from the ancient biblical land of Israel in which Jews are indigenous. I guess not. You pick and choose what part of Judaism you want to acknowledge. Judaism and Israel are interconnected through land, history
