Photo taken by Todd Maisel shows PA NYPD officer Christopher Amoroso helping a woman on September 11th 2001. He helped many victims that day. He was last seen entering the North Tower to help escort more people out but he sadly never exited the building.

@Morbidful Such a heart. I’m sure you are living the rest of your life in fulfillment Christopher.
@Morbidful Everything changed for the worst after that day.
You might find the story of Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter interesting. They were an interracial couple living in Virginia during the 1950s when interracial marriage was illegal in the state. Despite facing legal challenges and discrimination, their love persisted. Their landmark Supreme Court case, Loving v. Virginia, in 1967, resulted in the abolition of anti-miscegenation laws across the United States, paving the way for countless couples to marry regardless of their racial backgrounds.
@Morbidful Look at how big and strong he was. Yet even he could not survive the extreme forces of all that occurred that day. What a waste.
@Morbidful Absolute HERO! 🫶🏻❤️ And, sadly, there are so so so many of these unsung heroes, who did amazing feats of bravery and sacrifice that day, that the general public simply don’t know about. All we can do is our best to remember them and publicise their incredible courage ❤️❤️❤️
@Morbidful On September 11th, 2001, Officer John Perry of the NYPD went to headquarters to file his retirement papers. When he heard of the explosion at the WTC, he responded immediately and was later killed when one of the towers collapsed. He was the only off-duty officer killed on 9/11.
@Morbidful NYPD Police Officer Moira Smith was the first officer to report the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 when she saw the first plane strike the first tower of the World Trade Center. Officer Smith was last seen heading back into the South Tower to help evacuate more people.
