You don’t, and that’s been my ENTIRE point from the beginning. Sony saw D2 financials and marathon projections and picked marathon for a reason (we don’t know the reason)

They obviously have a reason for backing marathon and for ending d2. Therefore, it’s clear we don’t know that reason. Therefore, it’s unfair to compare the two exactly

Again, this comes back to - we don’t know. The number was just said by Paul Tassi. We know nothing else about it, including if it’s legitimate

Financial projections probably estimated that D2 sales would go down (cause they already did). You also missed my point: profit is sales - expenses. Maybe marathon is cheaper.

@ConquerThyEnemy @PaulTassi I mean, maybe it actually is more profitable. D2 is free, each marathon player paid $40 (or at least will if they want to play next week). Also maybe marathon is more maintainable? Cheaper to maintain? Easier to scale? Once again - not an apples to apples comparison.

@Sizzins_ Destiny was afforded the opportunity of a chance to win people over, which it did. Tons of people have had a hate boner for marathon (for complete bs reasons I might add) for 3 years before it came out. Those are not the same thing lol
