I heard an old friend passed. We saw “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” in the theater & in the parade scene a guy does a huge backflip off a trampoline for no reason. I can still see my friend laughing uproariously at this. We laughed until we cried. Well I’m crying again. Goodbye, pal.

Comedy has become so restricted. We used to have a whole world of nonsense to draw from and now it’s become endless jokes about Zoom meetings and social distancing at the store.

Good god, do I miss comedy open mics. It was so much better seeing the looks of disgust, annoyance and/or disinterest in person. How can I feel the contempt over impersonal social media?
