On this day one year ago, three 9-year-old students and three staff members were shot and killed at The Covenant School—a K-6 elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter was armed with an AR-style rifle, an AR-style pistol, a handgun, and multiple rounds of ammunition. The shooting galvanized parents, students and other community members to demand Tennessee lawmakers take meaningful action to prevent gun violence in their schools and communities, but those demands were largely ignored by lawmakers beholden to the gun industry. We hold in our hearts all whose lives were stolen or forever changed at The Covenant School as we remain committed to our work to #EndGunViolence in their honor.
@MomsDemand Hate crimes are unacceptable. We need to do better as a society. Address mental health issues across the board.
@MomsDemand A radical Trans Democrat, who broke multiple laws prior to the shooting. No mention of that. Just infringement on constitutional rights. Not gonna happen
