Why not just make one fully complete good movie the first time around instead of cash grabbing with a second version later? What a fucking dumb way of making movies it's like if Tommy Wiseau had more of a budget to work with

It's not. Everybody wins. Even you if you'd stop being obsessed with hating Snyder. You could ignore him and his work and focus on YOUR passions. But it's been made public that THIS scenario was part of the deal. "I want to make this epic 5 hours movie that I've been writing for years." "Well Zack, we don't think we can release a single 5 hour movie, so why don't we split it in two. Also, this material is a super hard R rating. What we'll do is - make a 2 part movie and release more family friendly versions, then we'll release you're gritty HARD R rated versions because your fans LOVE your directors cuts. We'll make a pretty penny and your fans get a ton of content!" The Zack said "DEAL!!!!!" (BTW, hollywood is a cash grab. The entire industry. Every movie is produced with the intention of it being a cash grab save for independent passion projects. That's how the BUSINESS works - do what you need to do to make the most money possible. If that offends you, then you're looking to be offended.)
@MoistCr1TiKaL how many films you watch and feel they could flesh out various scenes? but wouldn't suit box office screen times? that's a directors cuts, nothing new.
@MoistCr1TiKaL all i got from the movie was "when the nazis want their research back". as bad as that sounds, then dont make movies with nazis then
@MoistCr1TiKaL He talked about this on Rogan, said Netflix made him take a lot out of the initial release, it’d be great if he just said fuck it and started releasing his cut of new films off rip
@MoistCr1TiKaL It was Netflix decision. Same with the snydercut that was WB they don’t want movies to be more that 2 hours and since Zack’s movies tend to exceed that they tell him no you gotta do two parts or cut this out and this out
@MoistCr1TiKaL This was a Netflix decision because they wanted PG-13 and he wanted R. So he made a deal with the saying they'd get their PG-13 version if he could do an R rated cut with absolutely zero studio interference. Netflix agreed, likely wanting it cash in on Snyder Cut hype
@MoistCr1TiKaL Bad way of filmmaking. Why not just focus more time and effort on one singular version. Rebel moon was bad and this cut business is doing more damage to the brand.
@MoistCr1TiKaL He was forced by Netflix to make the first version, he spoke about it with Joe Rogan. They allowed him to release this upcoming version afterwards
@MoistCr1TiKaL @OliverJia1014 They're just trying to double-sell the constant reshoots all these current day flopbusters are plagued with, instead of discarding the first round.
