The best career advise I ever got in my 20s: "build a thick skin". Without that, a lot of your intrinsics (hard work, ambition, intelligence) will come to naught in the long run.
@MohapatraHemant This is perfect. And another piece of advise I got was “don’t take everything personally”.
@MohapatraHemant Sage advice. In the era of social media, think for most of us in our 20s this happened automatically! :)
Absolutely agree! Building a thick skin has been crucial in navigating the highs and lows of the startup world, especially in the fast-evolving GenAI space. Resilience not only helps in enduring challenges but also in leveraging our core strengths like innovation and persistence to push the boundaries of what's possible. Thanks for the great advice!
@MohapatraHemant At 14, I sold candy packs going shop to shop in my summer holidays. No salary. I fumbled, sometimes felt insults that people won’t even listen. But it got me thick skin. My dad‘s thinking for this real life training was a gr8 far sight. Helpful in job & startups.
@MohapatraHemant Resilience is key in navigating the ups and downs of any career journey. It's about bouncing back stronger each time and not letting setbacks define your path forward.
@MohapatraHemant But what’s by product of that golden advise ??
@MohapatraHemant how to do that. im not that young, and may be im that person on the verge of how not to be.
@MohapatraHemant Same! I share it often, especially with young women.
