The Mayor of New York City is a Muslim man who was born in Uganda and embraces Communism as his political philosophy. Today he released a map of New York that includes all the ethnic neighborhoods in the city. He seems to have forgotten Little Italy in list which is interesting considering it is the oldest and most famous “ethnic” neighborhood in the entire city and the cradle of much of New York City’s culture. He remembered to include the neighborhoods of Little Africa, Little Albania, Little Bangladesh, Little Bhod-Tibet, Little Caribbean, Little Colombia, Little Dominican, Little Ecuador, Little Egypt, Little Guyana, Little Haiti, Little India, Little Manila, Little Mexico, Little Odessa, Little Palestine (yes, really), Little Pakistan, Little Senegal, Little Ukraine and Little Yemen. But Little Italy didn’t make the cut. Mamdani hates Italians because they’re white. Communism has made a pact with anti-white elements to create some radical and twisted ideology that embraces not only the great replacement, but also a complete erasure of anyone who isn’t somewhat brown. I’m half Cuban so I guess I’m safe, until they realize I won’t vote for the Leftists. In all seriousness, this is an insult to anyone of Italian descent and Zohran Mamdani should be totally ashamed of himself. I won’t be going back to NYC anytime soon, clearly I’m not welcome as an Italian!

There are women fighting for their rights, but no Jews left to protest the lies told about them. We warned Europe. We were dismissed. And now Jamey Carney, a 43-year-old American mother living in Ireland, is dead: beaten in her own home by a Middle Eastern asylum seeker she had befriended at a pro-Palestine protest and welcomed into her life, while her 13-year-old daughter raised the alarm and he ran. 82 years ago today, my great-grandmother, Lily Ebert, arrived at the gates of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Within hours, her mother, youngest brother and youngest sister had been murdered in the gas chambers. More than 100 members of her extended family were murdered that day. They have no graves. No final resting place. Their ashes were scattered across the fields of Auschwitz. She survived the unimaginable. For the next 80 years, she dedicated her life to ensuring the world would never forget what happened there. Although she passed away in October 2024, her legacy continues to grow. This morning, our family welcomed her second great-great-grandchild into the world. Lily only had the chance to meet her first. Hitler lost. The Nazis failed. Lily won. And the Jewish people are still here.

In April 1967, a 20-year-old farm boy from South Dakota did something that would change the Vietnam War—he fell off his ship. Seaman Douglas Hegdahl was standing on the deck of the USS Canberra when the recoil from a five-inch gun knocked him overboard into the Gulf of Tonkin. He treaded water for five hours, then swam for seven more. When fishermen finally pulled him from the sea, they handed him to North Vietnamese forces. The interrogators didn't believe his story. They thought he was a spy, a commando, someone important. They beat him and threw him into the Hanoi Hilton—the most notorious prison of the war. But Hegdahl made a choice that would save hundreds of lives. He became "The Incredibly Stupid One." He played up his country accent. He stared wide-eyed at things he'd never seen before. When they ordered him to write a confession, he claimed he couldn't read or write. The guards, used to illiterate peasants in their own country, believed him completely. They even assigned someone to teach him—who eventually gave up, convinced Hegdahl was hopeless. What they didn't know was that Hegdahl had a photographic memory and the discipline of a soldier. Because they thought he was harmless, the guards let him sweep the prison yards. He walked between cellblocks. He memorized the layout of the camp and the route into Hanoi. He even sabotaged enemy trucks by adding dirt to their fuel tanks. But his real mission was gathering intelligence. With the help of fellow prisoner Joe Crecca, Hegdahl set out to memorize something impossible: the names, ranks, Social Security numbers, and personal details of over 250 fellow American prisoners. How do you remember 250 names under torture, starvation, and the constant threat of death? He used "Old MacDonald Had a Farm." Every day, Hegdahl repeated the names to the tune of the children's song. Over and over. Names became melodies. Data became memory. While the guards laughed at the "stupid" American humming in the prison yard, he was conducting one of the most important intelligence operations of the war. When North Vietnam offered early release as a propaganda tool, Hegdahl initially refused—prisoners had sworn an oath to leave together or not at all. But his commanding officer, Captain Dick Stratton, ordered him to go. "You're carrying the names," Stratton told him. "Their families need to know they're alive." On August 5, 1969, Hegdahl walked out of the Hanoi Hilton. When he returned to the United States, he recited every single name. Every rank. Every identifying detail. His memory transformed 250+ missing men into confirmed prisoners of war. At the Paris Peace Talks in 1970, he confronted North Vietnamese negotiators with firsthand accounts of torture—and the pressure he brought helped secure the eventual release of all American POWs. That farm boy who "fell off a ship" had just freed an entire army. Decades later, in 1998, Hegdahl stood before an audience of veterans and families at the Richard Nixon Library. Thirty years after his release, he stood and sang—to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm"—the names of 256 men he'd memorized in captivity. Not one name forgotten. Sometimes the most dangerous people are the ones your enemy thinks are harmless. Sometimes genius wears the mask of stupidity. And sometimes, a child's lullaby becomes the most powerful weapon of all.

Nearly everyday I see the National Guard in DC. I often make sure to thank them. They have always been kind, professional, and gracious. Crime HAS gone down. A nearby street is no longer covered in glass from car break-ins every weekend. Gangs of masked men on bikes in a nearby alley no longer hang out there. I feel safe again. This Thanksgiving, I want to express my gratitude for every single @NationalGuard member in DC whose presence has done so much for the city. Thank you so much for what you do and keeping us safe!

A BIG THANK YOU 🇺🇸 (apologies for the very long post) Tonight we head home after what has been the trip of a lifetime for me and Mrs T. When we landed in Chicago four weeks ago we had an itinerary, an RV booking and some World Cup tickets. As I sit here in the same airport waiting for our flight home (and for England v Mexico to begin) I realise what we didn’t plan for was how much we’d fall in love with America. We’ve driven over 3,000 miles across 12 incredible states, cruised down Route 66, encountered tornadoes and heatwaves, camped under the stars, wandered through world-class cities, explored small towns we’d never heard of before, eaten some of the best barbecue, Cajun food, deep dish, cheesesteaks and burgers we’ve ever had, sampled fantastic local beers, celebrated the 4th of July in Philadelphia, spotted license plates from 41 states and watched 5 unforgettable World Cup matches alongside fans from all over the world. But what has made this trip truly special hasn’t been the places. It’s been the people. To everyone who stopped to chat, welcomed us, recommended a restaurant, suggested a hidden gem, answered one of my many questions on here, shared advice, wished us safe travels, or simply took an interest in our journey… THANK YOU 🫶. Like Keith from Louisiana, who I chatted with whilst filling up with gas at Buc-ee’s in Leeds, AL. Keith owns a couple of farms and took the time to educate me on the plans for huge data centers in his home state and also the origins of the Eisenhower interstate system. Thank you Keith. Or the lady from South Carolina who we chatted to whilst sititng on the bleachers at the Field of Dreams. She was also on a road trip with her family and whose husband had briefly left that trip to fly to LA to watch the USMNT’s opening game. And so many more encounters like these along the way. The warmth, humour and generosity we’ve experienced everywhere we’ve gone has been overwhelming. I’ve learnt that many Americans feel their country has a negative reputation elsewhere but for us that couldn’t be further from the truth. Everywhere we have been there has been nothing but friendliness, good humour and love. In my experience social media can often feel divided, but over the past few weeks our experience on here has reminded me just how brilliant it can be. I’ve loved the conversations, the recommendations, the laughs, and getting to share this adventure with so many people. This World Cup trip has given us memories we’ll treasure forever, but it’s the people we’ve met, both in person and online, that we’ll remember most. Thank you, America, for your hospitality, your kindness, and for making us feel so welcome. We leave with incredible memories, phones full of photos, suitcases that are heavier than when we arrived, and already a growing list of places we want to come back and visit. This won’t be goodbye. Just… see you next time. 🇺🇸🤍 (and I’m forever sorry for mistaking biscuits and gravy for scones and mushrooms)
