Just because you've empathy and you understand someone's traumatic past is the cause of their harmful behavior, doesn't mean you should continue to tolerate them hurting you. Unconditional love doesn't mean unconditional tolerance. Empathy without boundaries is self-destruction.
@MindTendencies2 @TheOracleReadsU It's important to show empathy and understanding, but it's also important to set boundaries to protect yourself from harm.
@MindTendencies2 Love this! Being empathetic doesn't mean you deserve to be a doormat. You can be kind and still have self-respect, set boundaries, and prioritize your well-being.
@MindTendencies2 Beautifully said🤍 Love that allows self-destruction isn't love at all. It's a slow erosion, a valiant attempt to hold back the tide with a teaspoon. Step back, fortify your own foundation, and let empathy guide you towards a love that empowers both you and the one you hold dear.
@MindTendencies2 You still have to protect your mental well-being.
