How is the fact a complainant of a sexual crime was wearing a long tan dress & a “nude heel” relevant to a court report? The accused walked into court but there’s no description of his attire. We should stop gratuitous references to women’s appearance unless we do same with men.

Imagine you see “Mr X [the accused] was wearing a black lace-up flat and a red tie”. Seems absurd, right? We do this with women all the time. I remember same outlet describing my own evidence in a proceeding for serious sexual crimes as bringing “a touch of Hollywood glamour”. 👀
