So it’s “socialism” when you give $10,000 to working people to forgive student loans but it’s “economic relief” when you give $1,200,000,000,000 to the super rich to forgive their predatory loans?
A brief history: A bunch of very rich people sold a bunch of very shady loans which went belly up in 2008. The government gave them $1.2 trillion bc if they hadn't, the economy would've collapsed These same people are now screaming mad a nurse is getting $10k for student loans.
Econ 101: Give money to the super rich: It mostly sits in accounts (or goes offshore) benefitting few. Give money to working people: It is spent immediately on goods and services, goes into circulation and stimulates the economy, benefitting everyone.
@Mikel_Jollett Yes don't even get me started on the COVID relief funds, the one check we the people got and the gop voting against any more while they themselves were trading off it and pocketing $ they did not have to pay back etc etc
@Mikel_Jollett Let's not forget these cast of characters...
@Mikel_Jollett I just learned that taxpayers are footing the bill for people's kids to go to kindergarten. That's socialism! 87% of Americans aren't in kindergarten! Let them work, build a line of credit, and earn their own kindergarten education!
@Mikel_Jollett When they bail out Wall st it saves the average American from prices of everything shooting up...being out dead beat students mean we will have our taxes raises..you really think the debt just vanishes..you also think Brandon got 81 mill votes
@Mikel_Jollett @Sherryscot89 No, it's theft when you give loan forgiveness to deadbeats and take from the taxpayers. That doesn't excuse or explain other theft.
