Stephen Colbert: “If these folks believe Roe was so egregiously decided, why didn’t they tell the senators during their confirmation hearings? Because Americans support abortion at 80%. They knew if they were honest they wouldn’t get the job, so they lied, which is perjury.”
@MikeSington So what is the legal argument that says Roe vs Wade was incorrect or unconstitutional? Some logic had to be brought forth to the basis of a reversal if that happens. So the real question is what flaw was there in Roe ??
@MikeSington 1. The Courts are political and we need to stop pretending they’re not. 2. The Right has never believed that the public has a right to participate in the decisions of the country and to decide their own destinies. You will do what the king tells you to do.
@MikeSington If 80% truly support abortion, which we both know isn’t true, then any Governer outlawing abortion(so far there are none) will be voted out lol. This is how a democracy works. Sorry that bothers you so much.
@MikeSington This is easy for me, it's a woman's choice. Full stop! This is all about a simple, safe, minor medical procedure, science. But let's go full Ray Bradbury. What if we let cancer grow? What might it grow into? Just who said cancer is not a life form? Scary?🦉
@MikeSington But, it is SO much more important to find out who leaked the doc than to actually investigate the nominees who clearly lied during their hearings.
@MikeSington Nominees for any government position, most especially SCOTUS and appellate courts, must be made aware that if they lie when asked about how they will rule that they will be prosecuted for perjury to the fullest extent of the law.
@MikeSington If the democrats were so passionate about abortion why did they not pass legislation to codify. Last time I checked the democrats are in totally control
@MikeSington Most Americans support restrictions on abortion too.
