Students learn to use a #microbit and sensors on their ZEP Island to monitor soil moisture in order to grow plants as food for their ZEPs. The more food they grow, the more ZEPs they can have - a fun element of competition and group work! #stem #sustainability #edtech #science

Another element of ZEP Island, is building a shelter for the #ZEPs. Students can use any recycled materials for this. They can have lots of fun designing and making their creations. Great for #stem subjects and teaching about #sustainability. #dt #edtech #science #recycle #steam

As part of ZEP Island, students need to create a water filter for the ZEPs. They can be creative with this using recycled bottles, sand, rocks and filter paper. Perfect for #stem lessons whilst also teaching #sustainability #waterfilter #cleanwater #dt #science #edtech #microbit
