@MichelleDLesley Were you a Christian councellor? That's a bit different to a secular one. Martin and Deidre Bobgan have some interesting books on psychology.
@MichelleDLesley What gets labeled "poor mental health" is often, in reality, poor spiritual health. It is often helpful to unpack FOO dynamics to see the patterns of sin, but from there, one must look within and address/confess one's own sinful behavior and attitudes.
@MichelleDLesley I have seen many people come to Biblical counseling after being diagnosed and medicated, still seeking help… because the diagnosis and medicine didn’t resolve their problems. Repentance doesn’t resolve a low thyroid or erase past hurt, but it helps most marriages and parents.
