In Houston, Texas, a Muslim got furious when he saw a Christian pastor and his wife preaching the Bible. He then started attacking him and screaming Allahu Akbar. This is Islam. They think they have the right to preach their cult, but hate when others do it.

The Quran recounts the plagues on Egypt (Surah 7:130-133): famine, flood, locusts, lice, frogs, blood, signs against Pharaoh. But it goes silent on the NIGHT that gave the whole event its name and meaning: the Passover.  The lamb slain, the blood on the doorposts, death passing over every blood-marked house. Exodus 12:7, 13. The plagues are judgment ON Egypt. The Passover is salvation FOR Israel, by the blood of a lamb. The Quran keeps the judgment and deletes the salvation-by-blood. And that deleted detail is the beating heart of the gospel. “Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.” 1 Corinthians 5:7. The Bible mentions the Passover over and over. Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, the Psalms, the Gospels, Paul, because it’s the master-picture of redemption: a spotless lamb dies, its blood is applied, and judgment passes over you. You don’t lose the most-repeated detail in the Torah by accident. The plagues showed God’s power to judge. The Passover showed God’s way to save: not by your effort, but by applied blood. The Quran kept the fireworks and lost the Lamb. But the Lamb was the whole point. He always was.

I’ll be straight with you. The story of Moses and the rock used to mean nothing to me as a Muslim. The people are dying of thirst in the desert. God tells Moses to strike a rock, and water pours out to save them. Exodus 17. Cool miracle. Moving on. That’s how I read it. Then I read what Paul wrote about it. “They drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4. The rock was struck once, and life poured out for everyone dying. But here’s the part that wrecked me. Later, the people are thirsty AGAIN. And this time God says don’t strike it, just speak to it. Numbers 20:8. And Moses strikes it anyway. And God is furious. It costs Moses the Promised Land. Why such a harsh punishment over hitting a rock twice? Because the Rock is only ever struck ONCE. Christ was struck one time for sin. After that, you don’t strike Him again. You just speak to Him. Moses broke the picture before anyone understood it. Islam handed me a water miracle. The Bible handed me the Rock that was struck so I’d never thirst again.

A Muslim debater told me we corrupted the plague of Darkness into all of our scriptures because it didn’t exist in the Quran. This is getting ridiculous. It’s mentioned all over exodus and then confirmed again in psalms AND Dead Sea scrolls. Did the Jews corrupt their scriptures in thousands of ways intentionally with genuinely no motive… or did Muhammad get the stories wrong. Occam’s razor.
