We are fighting a religious war. The Islamic fanatics in Iran (and else where) believe that these are the latter days and the Mahdi (their Messiah) is coming to eliminate injustice, tyranny, and evil, establishing a global era of peace and righteousness. The more turmoil, war, violence, killing they can cause will help him come quicker. You cannot negotiate with people who believe this. You cannot expect a "cease fire" to mean anything to them. There is no reasoning, logic, or dialogue they will honestly accept. The only thing you can do is exterminate them. Sorry. If you have another idea you think will work comment below. I believe that once again we are going to kick the can down the road because collectively we don't have the guts, intelligence or will power to recognize the inevitable. It is them or us. There is no in between. No common ground. No compromise. Them or us. I prefer the latter.
