I’ll be reporting this through the proper channels. I’ve been vocal about this intersection being dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians, but it appears to be dangerous to cars too…

This morning on my bicycle commute I witnessed a van carrying school kids try to enter i84 the WRONG WAY near wickham park in manchester. Thankfully, they stopped quickly and turned around. @CTDOTOfficial this is a problem.

@Urban_Dispatch Rail and infrastructure currently exists between Manchester’s depot square north main/East Hartford Main St/Hartford union station. Wish we could have some light rail service here seems like a no brainer.

@Nerd4Cities here’s my vote from Vernon, CT. ZERO pedestrian infrastructure, slip lanes where people are racing to get on the highway. I’ve seen someone run across these stroads to get to the stop all of one time. At least it’s sheltered, I guess.

@CTDOTOfficial @geucalitto That’s great and all, but we need to work on fixing the badly designed, car centric roadways which cause this behavior in the first place. Focus on creating #completestreets instead of a temporary enforcement.
