Pre ordering things as a practice has gotten dumber. If you’re a digital gamer anyways. Nothing stops you from waiting until the review period to know if a games worth buying. It’s not as if the copies are gonna run out digitally. For physical. Just Amazon it on day of release.

Not everyone can thrive in treatment/recovery while still being in the same environment & around the same people who have kept them stuck or addicted or sick. Some need distance, a separation, & a chance to really thrive in a different, safer, higher-barrier environment.
The addition of dry shelters, and recovery/treatment/supports not being located at ground zero for the illicit drug market & toxic legalized drug dens that keep people in addiction who may actually want to pursue treatment/recovery in a different way than what's available now....
Because addiction, recovery, & treatment is NOT a "one option fits or helps all". That is true. And we need several different options to reflect that, not just the one that exists presently in London, Ontario. What does that look like? I don't know, but I have a few ideas....
Because currently, the options that exist now are not helping everyone. Many are struggling without other options on top of the only one available presently. And I will continue to try to push for the reality of additional options coming to fruition on top of the present ones....
So, while people want to dismiss me as not knowing what someone suffering from more severe Substance Abuse Disorder is going through or needs/wants, I can only hope that many in similar circumstances to mine can be given more options that help them on top of the current ones.....
It's been one hell of a battle, and we've struggled no doubt. But we've had so many positive sources of support & help available to us that don't exist for many others in the throws of addiction. And I hope one day that can be a reality, on top of what's available now.
I've quit cold turkey, as I did before, while my partner has been using the Thrive lozenges. So far so good. I'm so proud of us. It's been absolutely a daily battle, & our will power has been weak at times, but we've managed to not give in to temptation when it's prompted us.....
has definitely helped. My current record for quitting is over 8 months, which I accomplished in 2019 en route to attending Summerslam in Toronto. The intent this time? Just general health & just realizing that it was only a coping mechanism for the most part.....
So, my partner & I have both surpassed almost a month smoke-free. I realized I hadn't shared that little tidbit with y'all amidst all the craziness that has been my life the past few months. Being in a more stable environment, even if still precarious housing in nature.....
