Cesar Chavez reminds us of what is always possible: power in unity. His work shaped our nation and inspired me to join the Delano Grape Boycott with my parents. As the City observes Cesar Chavez today, we carry on his values to fight for justice and work for the greater good.

@MayorOfLA I loved that guy, he sent his people to border to beat up people that tried to cross illegally into the country so that wages could go up for Hispanics .. he got it

@MayorOfLA A token head nod to Hispanics. How disgusting. Our Los Angeles culture is very much Hispanic and the only reference is to Cesar Chavez. We’ve come a long way from working fields lady.
