Але я також не готова мовчки спостерігати, як Україна перетворюється на світ Орвелла, де за незадоволеність правлячою верхівкою карають швидше, ніж за корупцію. Киянку та блогера Наталію Козаченко засудили в Дарницькому районному суді міста Києва до 5 років ув'язнення за критику Зеленського в соцмережах, вирок винесла суддя Ольга Рудюк. І суспільство має повне право ставити питання, чому держава демонструє таку швидкість і “принциповість” у справах, які не подобаються чиновникам, але роками не може поставити крапку у справах про розкрадання бюджетних коштів та зловживання своїх колег. Стаття 34 Конституції гарантує свободу слова. Стаття 10 Європейської конвенції гарантує свободу вираження поглядів. Американський суддя Олівер Венделл Голмс сформулював принцип, який став одним із фундаментів сучасного розуміння свободи слова: свобода думки існує не для тих, з ким ми погоджуємося, а насамперед для тих, чиї погляди ми ненавидимо. Саме тому право на висловлення поглядів повинно захищатися незалежно від того, подобаються вони посадовцям чи ні. Якщо сьогодні можна посадити людину за слова, які комусь здалися незручними, то завтра під ударом може опинитися будь-хто. Саме тому ми не повинні мовчати.
