@LeeKurtiss @omgsidewalks Grab the smallest savings I brought up and ignore the other ones. Office supplies mostly referring to daily food, coffee, catering (not my company but others). So office supplies was a poor choice of descriptor there. I'm the Controller. I'm very aware of legality.

@LeeKurtiss @omgsidewalks How do they benefit more from me being in the office? We're downsizing spaces, lower rent/insurance/utility costs. Lower cost of office supplies, no relocation packages needed for non front line employees, turnover is lower leading to lower recruiting costs. 1/2

@LeeKurtiss @omgsidewalks The tweet I replied to of yours and the one you replied to initially doesn't mention gov't work anywhere. Regardless, it's still a management issue in the gov't. Good managers won't have issues with WFH employees. Bad managers will.

@LeeKurtiss @omgsidewalks If you're able to screw around all day while working from home, that's a management issue. Measure output and set/enforce expectations. Half my people aren't even in the same country as me and they hit every deadline and exceed expectations every quarter.

You can't tax rich people on unrealized gains from stocks because "it's not real money until it's sold." So explain to me why my property taxes keep going up based on the unrealized value of my house? I didn't sell it. I didn't cash out. I didn't make a profit. But somehow I'm paying taxes on paper gains every single year. Interesting how "unrealized gains" only become a problem when wealthy folks are involved.
