It’s #LOVEHATE day! Week 7 is now posted and as always… it’s 100% FREE. Oh and here’s the link: nbcsports.com/nfl/matthew-be…
@MatthewBerryTMR Been reading your opening for over twenty years and would hate to see it go. Good writing is hard to find. Suggestion: compromise and use AI for an assist on the column. Readers will not be able to discern the difference, and you’ll save hours. My miracle discovery this year!
@MatthewBerryTMR Damn you @MatthewBerryTMR you’re forcing me NOT to read next week because I love the open. How much do I love it? I will not read the column next week, as a ritual animal sacrifice possibly losing in fantasy, for the love of the open to help save it!
@MatthewBerryTMR Oh no, please don’t stop the open. It is exactly why I read every single week and get to share your life of a football fan, parent, etc. I will still read because I like your recs, but at some point without the open, I might stop. You and @EasterbrookG make me love football more
@MatthewBerryTMR I can read “I like Tua, hate Kirk” anywhere on the internet. Nobody gives the open like you. But I understand
@MatthewBerryTMR I’m an opener fan just sayin! And have a great family weekend
@MatthewBerryTMR I havent even read the player portion yet. I stopped and came here. The open is everything! Connecting on those human experiences (sent my kid to TSwift). I dont consume podcasts, it takes too long (busy dad) @BillSimmons quit columns so long ago, you are the last jedi.
@MatthewBerryTMR the open has had some incredibly great stories in it that I've loved reading. Would hate to see it go, but also have the same sentiment as many others. I sometimes skip it.
@MatthewBerryTMR That was one of the most meta opens I've read. Loved it! xD I stumbled on your work years ago when I started playing Fantasty football. And I've enjoyed my fair share of "opens." I think I'll be experiencing data issues next week. Weird.
@MatthewBerryTMR Buy his book & read a couple pages every week before reading his player write-ups. There, problem solved. I do read the openings 75/25 of the time as well. You still get enough humor/wit in the player breakdowns.
@MatthewBerryTMR The opening is what makes the content stand out. We can get love/hate or similar from plenty of other content producers. We come for the intro, lengthy as it may be, because there’s more to fantasy than playing the game.
