This is embarrassing for the sport. Trying too hard to be relevant. And does it actually sell tickets? Doubtful. I’d think people see right through it. And it baffles me that promoters stand there and sign off on this as though it wasn’t potentially putting the show in jeopardy.

@MatthewAguilar5 Cost them the first pitch at the Mets game
@MatthewAguilar5 Desperate to sell tickets to a fight that’s not selling at the Barclays center. I doubt that this obviously staged, adolescent, WWE style crap Will make a difference.
@MatthewAguilar5 I don't know why anyone hasn't intervened on Garcia clearly being in the midst of a psychological breakdown. Maybe they have but it all appears a bit "carry on, nothing to see here.."
@MatthewAguilar5 Totally agreed. Shouldn't the state commissions have to clear fighters on their mental health as well as their physical health??? Wasn't he completely "normal" leading into the Tank fight?
@MatthewAguilar5 Looks like they're on the 86th floor of the Empire State Building.
@MatthewAguilar5 It was a quick overhand right to be fair. But in all seriousness, how great is it when you see the fighters stand there, pose, then shake hands. I mean damn, they’re professionals. And those type of interactions make for respectful but really ass kicking fights.
