@Savlambda But yeah there’s nothing actually tying the Monoid type together on either side.
@Savlambda Ah ok. I was actually thinking along the lines of F#+ which would use SRTP to achieve this. But you’d obviously have to just type it without HKTs and use quotes like they do to make the intent clearer. So like '``Foldable<'Monoid>`` -> 'Monoid.

@isaac_abraham @jongallant I end up programming around this in every single project that uses some Azure persistence library with a try/catch. Got burnt by this on first use even though I was checking for a 404 status code, very confusing.
@dustinmoris My personal theory on why school holds didn’t make a difference before is: 1. They weren’t really in school much until March this year anyway 2. Most adults in the U.K. are now vaccinated so they’re a large proportion of the unvaxxed pop now
@dustinmoris This article has some reasonable explanation in it. bbc.co.uk/news/health-57… Seems to be predominantly due to school holidays and Scotland’s peak also aligns with the start of their holidays which started earlier than the rest of the U.K.

@davidfowl Yeah, I completely understand that. It's just as nice-to-have. Tbh, once I've started a project I spend <<0.01% of my time in my top level `Program.fs` file anyway. I guess it's just a shame that extension methods, whilst composable in C# are awkward and less composable in F#.
