So Joe Mauer was an Allstate basketball, football, AND baseball player in high school and Todd Helton was a d1 quarterback @Vol_Football ? Yeah we need to specialize in a sport at 12 to be successful and excel. #2024MLBHOF Just be an athlete
@MattCapps55 @Vol_Football @MattCapps55 please follow me. I’ve got a classic story for you I want to DM to you when we were in McAlester Oklahoma and we played against you with team Georgia.
@MattCapps55 @Vol_Football I agree Matt but don’t hate on those that do stick to only one sport. Remember you just mentioned two HOFers, the absolute best of the best. Not all kids are that, in fact just a few hundred are out of millions of athletes.
@MattCapps55 @AnokaBaseball @Vol_Football I’m not saying I disagree with this, but you’re talking about PHENOMENAL athletes. I think “most” kids are not born with that type of athleticism. It’s well known most people who make it to any professional level were superior athletes in HS or College.
@MattCapps55 @Vol_Football Ask football coaches how many baseball players they would like on their team? It’s all relative stuff. Great athletes can play anything they want and be good at it. this has nothing to do with anything else.
@MattCapps55 @Vol_Football Playing multiple sports doesn't lead to more pitching and hitting guru revenue though.
@MattCapps55 @Vol_Football Specialization just leads to kids burning out and hating the sport.
