I (F32) have a friend lets call her H (f29). H and I have a complicated friendship. We had feelings for each other for a while and would fuck like crazy then I kinda ruined it by getting with another woman. We stopped talking for like a year until she randomly called me a couple weeks ago.
We started hanging out again and things were back to normal juat minus the sex....until last night. I came over to her moms house who used to absolutely adore me, like wanted me to marry her daughter type shit. We're all drinking and ended up getting pretty drunk since none of us worked in the morning.
Her mom kept bringing up how she wanted a grandbaby and she wishes we would just give her one because "it would be adorable". Me and H just kinda laugh it off. Well her mom brought it up several more times throughout the night to the point i asked her "do you really want me to get her pregnant?" She said "yes i really do".
I looked at the mom and grabbed H's hand and said "okay fine we'll go make a baby right now". The moms eyes lit up and she got actually very excited. H was all for it too cause like i said we used to fuck ALOT. As we start walking to the spare bedroom i look back at her mom and tell her "just so you know,

One of the worst situations you can find yourself is doing too much just so you can get noticed.
Don't kid yourself because you'll be taken for granted.
I will use Mr X story as an example.
When I worked in a school as an educator, Mr X was in charge of the computer room, he also passes as a computer science teacher, he writes all the school's journals, edits both Tests and exam scripts which is beyond his job description anyway but that wasn't enough.
As a married man, he most times leaves the school premises by 8p.m but once anything goes wrong...he will be derided in staff meetings and nothing he ever does is enough.
In fact within a year, grey hairs filled every part of his head and beards...a clear sign of overexertion.
I was cleaning out my grandmother's house when I found a receipt for a restaurant that had been closed for 22 years.
The strange part wasn't the receipt.
It was what was written across the bottom in her handwriting:
“Never let Marcus eat here.”
I knew exactly who Marcus was.
My uncle.
He'd been dead for eleven years.
I thought maybe she'd written it as a joke.
Then I looked at the date.
The receipt was from three days before he died.
I kept searching through the house.
Behind a stack of old cookbooks, I found twelve more receipts.
Different dates.
Same restaurant.
Same warning.
“Never let Marcus eat here.”
My daughter came home from school with a library book that wasn't hers.
She was supposed to return it the next morning, but when I opened it to check the due date, a photograph fell out.
It showed a little girl standing beside a lake.
On the back, someone had written:
“Please don't let them send me away.”
I assumed it was an old photograph someone had forgotten inside the book.
Then my daughter walked into the room.
She looked at it and said:
“Mom, that's Mrs. Bell.”
I froze.
“Who's Mrs. Bell?”
“The librarian.”
I looked at the photograph again.
The little girl was wearing the exact same necklace our school librarian wore every day.
The woman at the grocery store paid for my entire cart and disappeared before I could thank her.
I thought she'd accidentally taken my receipt.
Then I looked down.
She had bought everything.
Milk.
Bread.
Cereal.
Baby formula.
Even the ridiculously expensive coffee I almost put back.
I ran outside.
Her car was already leaving.
I memorized the license plate and went home.
The next morning, someone knocked on my door.
It was the same woman.
She was holding an old photograph.
“I need to ask you something,” she said.
Then she showed me the picture.
It was my mother.
Standing beside her.
Twenty-five years ago.
I was standing in line at the DMV when an elderly man suddenly walked over and asked me to pretend I was his daughter.
I thought he was confused.
Then he grabbed my hand and whispered:
“Please. Don't let the man behind me know I'm alone.”
I looked over his shoulder.
A tall man in a gray jacket was standing about ten feet away.
He wasn't looking at us.
He was pretending to read a magazine.
I leaned toward the old man.
“Who is he?”
The old man swallowed hard.
“My son.”
Then he whispered something that made absolutely no sense.
“He thinks I'm going to tell the police.”
My ADHD has a very sophisticated system for evaluating my performance. If something goes well, it was easy and anyone could've done it. If something goes poorly, I am objectively bad at everything.
Captain: “You're not taking the controls.”
Me: “Captain, I'm the assigned first officer.”
Captain: “And I'm the captain. I decide who flies.”
Me: “We agreed I'd handle this leg.”
Captain: “I've changed my mind.”
Me: “May I ask why?”
Captain: “You're too inexperienced.”
Me: “I've completed more than 3,000 flight hours.”
Captain: “And I have twenty years of experience.”
Me: “Understood.”
I stepped back without arguing.
Thirty minutes later, we were preparing for departure when the flight operations manager called the cockpit.
Operations Manager: “Captain, we need to discuss the flight assignment.”
Captain: “We're ready for departure.”
Operations Manager: “The airline has received a formal complaint about your conduct.”
Captain: “From whom?”
Beneath the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro sits a paradox: an arid dust basin in East Africa that sustains one of the densest, most famous elephant populations on Earth. Here is the fascinating hydrogeology and ecological mechanics of the Amboseli ecosystem.
What is the Amboseli Basin?
Located across southern Kenya near the border of Tanzania, Amboseli is a 392-square-kilometer national park anchored within a vast 8,000-square-kilometer regional ecosystem. According to geological research, the basin was once a massive prehistoric lakebed (Lake Amboseli) that dried up thousands of years ago.
10 Things Neurodivergent People Do That Other People Might Not Understand
1. Neurodivergent people will rehearse a conversation 15 times in their heads, finally get the chance to speak, and forget every single word they planned to say.
2. Neurodivergent people will desperately want to reply to a message, genuinely care about the person who sent it, and somehow leave that message unanswered for three days while feeling increasingly guilty.
3. Neurodivergent people will spend six hours researching something they're interested in but struggle to spend five minutes on a task they actually need to finish.
4. Neurodivergent people will cancel plans they genuinely wanted to attend because the thought of showering, dressing, travelling, and interacting with people suddenly feels exhausting.
5. Neurodivergent people will replay a conversation from five years ago at 2 a.m., cringe at something they said, and suddenly feel the embarrassment all over again.
