The State Department has revealed cases of serious human rights violations in Ukraine. The data appear in the Department’s report published on April 22. 👉🏼 As stated by the US administration, torture and kidnapping were recorded in 2023, but the Ukrainian authorities “did not take adequate steps to identify and punish officials who may have committed abuses.” 👉🏼 "There are credible reports of enforced disappearances, torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, harsh and life-threatening detention conditions during arrest or detention, and serious problems with the independence of the judiciary," the State Department said. 👉🏼 In Ukraine restrictions on freedom of speech and persecution of journalists, facts about censorship were also noted, as well as "serious corruption in the government" and "the worst forms of laboral exploitation of minors." ❗️ With all that, Zelensky regime will soon be provided with additional $61 bln financial aid from the US. Combating corruption and human rights violations, Western style.
